P.G. Wodehouse The Small Bachelor first edition book is for sale. This scarce and desirable early P.G. Wodehouse first edition book has its original blue binding that has black lettering the front and spine and measures 5¼ x 7¾ inches (approximately). This book was published by Methuen in 1927 and conforms to “P.G. Wodehouse A Comprehensive Bibliography” by Eileen McIlvaine (A37). The Copyright Page confirms that this is a first printing.
The original blue binding is in Good condition with the front board being incredibly clean and attractive, slight wear to the spine, staining and marks to the plain back board, corner knocks, and shelf lean.
There are 251 numbered pages and 8 pages of “Methuen’s General Literature” to the end of the book. The pages are in overall Very Good condition being very clean and firmly bound into the book, but with age toning to the front and rear endpapers, and discolouration to the edges of the pages that are mainly noticeable when the book is closed.
This is a very collectable early P.G. Wodehouse first edition book.
