Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Safety First Book is for sale from circa 1937, featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, Goofy, The Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf, and other Walt Disney characters.
It must be noted that the Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Safety First Book is not recorded anywhere that we know of and we are unable to see it on any web site. In the authoritative Walt Disney collectables book Disneyana by Robert Heide and John Gilman (1994) they mention and photograph the Mickey Mouse Safety Film (see page 31). But we are unable to trace any reference in Disneyana, or any of our research anywhere, for this incredibly rare Mickey Mouse Safety First Book which was published by Dean in London.
The Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Safety First Book front cover has an image of Mickey Mouse in a green car next to a sign which bears the title of the book, Safety First Book. The Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Safety First Book back cover has the same illustration as the front cover. The covers are in Very Good condition with creasing to the front and back, which is only really noticeable from the reverse of the covers. The spine is intact and complete with only slight signs of wear.
The Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Safety First Book pages are unpaginated and contain a large number of illustrations featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck and other early Disney characters which give young children of the day instruction on being safe. The pages are now browned through age and have minor imperfections but are intact, and bound-in.
